Are there books that stand out in your life? One or more that changed how you look at the world and influenced you in a lasting way?
There have always been books in my life. I grew up in a household of voracious readers. Going to the library, working in a library, marrying another reader, and even going to a bookstore with my husband to celebrate our anniversary, all factor into my life story.
A few of my favorite books
Some books stick with me. I have read some of these books multiple times, finding new material with each reading:
- The Tales of Beatrix Potter
- Dracula, Bram Stoker
- Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll
- Through the Looking Glass, Lewis Carroll
- A Wrinkle in Time, Madeleine L’Engle
- Harold and His Purple Crayon, Crockett Johnson
- Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway, Susan Jeffers
- How to Work a Room, Susan RoAne
- The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Stephen Covey
- The One Page Business Plan, Jim Horan
- Sin and Syntax, Constance Hale
- The Gratitude Diaries, Janice Kaplan
